I saw your post on Rue's blog and just had to come on over and have now bookmarked your blog. I love my old home, she was built in 1862, never a grand house but always a wonderful home.
Michelle, Came to your blog from Rue's. I love your thoughts on old homes. I live in my great-grandparent's home. Part of it is pre-civil war. There are many things that could be done to update it, but I like the oldness of it. Living in their home brings back times when I was a little girl and my family would come over and play with all the cousins. I am so thankful to have this house. God Bless You P. S. sorry for your loss.
