Goodbye Sweet Tree...

Any minute a truck will be coming down our street, prepared to remove this giant maple from our yard. I wanted to give her a proper goodbye. Goodbye tree.....
We have enjoyed your shade and the way you sway in the breeze. We've jumped in your leaves and leaned against you.

Unfortunately it is time for you to go. Your wood will heat homes and make campfires to roast marshmallows with.

I'd say we would miss you....but I'd be lying.

It's hard to get rid of a tree. Even when you know it's the right thing to do. It sure will change your surroundings without all of that shade.

That is a beautiful tree. I'd be sad to see it go.

Why are you removing the tree, Michelle? Looks like it gives some nice shade for back yard play. I hate removing trees, I'm always planting more!

I think I understand. Too big. Too many leaves. Too much shade. I understand, as we have had several like that. Have a wonderful weekend. Kathi

Here I was feeling bad and then find out you don't care.....That was so wrong Michelle! LOL

We have to get rid of the pine tree on the left side of our house because it's too close, but I still feel bad though. People don't think of how big they're going to get... ugh!

We had one tree to take out the deck, one to take pout 13 ft. of fence, one to take out the service, and none of them were our trees. I love trees but they can be trouble. Kathy

Ahhh. Getting rid of such an old and beautiful tree is really hard. We've cut down 2 really big trees in our yard and I was REALLY sad. :(
