Halloween

I am so sad Halloween is over. It's my favorite holiday and my favorite time of year. Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas decorating but there is something about Halloween....no stress, no fuss, just fun!

Here we are at my son's school after his parade. Notice the look on his face? Yeah, that's pretty much how the day went with him. He didn't want to wear his full costume, he didn't want to wait for me while we were trick or treating and he walked right into someone's house. Yup, that's my son. Ring the doorbell and if they take too long, hey, just open the door and go right in.

Candy is serious business you know!

I didn't intend to have this action shot....any tips on how to get a 4 year old to sit still? No?? Oh well, it was worth a shot.

And my girls, who were happy to sit still and smile....

It rained here for us but we still had a great time. The candy is a little damp but the kids don't seem to notice. How was your Halloween? Did you get a lot of trick or treaters? How much candy did you eat? I'll tell if you will....

Halloween was yesterday but the real fright starts today. Nothing could be scarier than today's task.....cleaning up the basement. *dun dun dun* We're going to hopefully get some organizing done down there, it's my goal for this week. If we don't accomplish this I may not be able to find my Christmas decorations when the time comes, it's that bad down there. Wish me luck!

Looks like you guys had a great Halloween! The kids look so cute in their costumes! And yes, we ate way too much candy! Time to refrain from eating any sugar for a while! :)

Have a great day! Don't work too hard. :) Beth.

Good luck cleaning the basement.
I remember the days when my 3 girls went tricker treating. Now it's just what I have left over from handing out candy, so I have to buy good candy for us. I loved dumping the bags in the middle of the living room floor. I got all the dots!
Happy November to you!

very fun! I had a wonder woman too this year. We had a lot of trick or treaters but still have a lot of leftover candy.
Good luck with your basement cleaning, today I'm working on our garage and the under stairs closet AKA junk deposit area.

Looks like you had fun. We took my 1 year old daughter trick-or-treating around our neighborhood (she was dressed as a kangaroo). Her biggest thrill was pointing at the full moon and shouting, "Moon! Moon!" The upside (and the downside) of trick-or-treating with a 1 year old is that mom and dad eat all of the candy. Today I have a "chocolate hangover" :)

The kids looked cute! Sounds like they had a great time. I hate cleaning out the basement... I've got to do that too but I keep putting it off - outta sight outta mind I guess. -Jackie

Oh, I love seeing your children - they are so cute! Little boys, I know, my son was a little boy once! :) Your daughters are so precious.
We had about 100 trick or treaters. We usually have lots of them but this year was amazing! Al the candy is gone! Whoopee!
Good luck with your cleaning out your basement.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Such cute kiddos! It was cold here, so we didn't get many trick or treaters...but the ones we did get had great costumes this year. :o)

Your kids look so cute in their costumes! We always have kids that just end up coming in before their parents can stop them...hehehe.

We had quite a few trick-or-treaters because it was so nice out. Oh, and I ate too much of our candy by myself! Good luck on the basement.

I'm glad you had a fun day! I can't confess how much candy I've eaten...it's way too much! :)

My almost 3 year old had no interest in his costume last year and this year it took us a good month to convince him to put it on. And about pictures? I have no idea. Nearly all of our pictures look like yours or are of the back of his head. I think it's the age...

Good luck basement cleaning!

Cute costumes all around, lovely family! It rained here too but we went trick-or-treating anyway and had a great time. My grandkids are a little tired of stopping for pictures so I just have to take the pictures of them on the move if I want to get a picture at all! Have a blessed evenint!

It looks like you had a great time. I love Halloween because it is such an exciting holiday for kids. We didn't get many kids because of where we are located on our street. The kids mostly stay at the other end because a ravine seperates us and the lighting isn't good. I was disappointed.

I love the lack of fuss and stress at Halloween too! It rained at our house, but we still went out and got lots of candy. I have eaten more than the kids have for sure. I have no will power when it comes to chocolate. Your son's costume was awesome. I went as "super mom" this year with a pink cape. Good luck with the basement. Does the organizing ever end? I wish!

Hello sweet Michelle - what fun Halloween photos you've shared! No, I don't think there's any suggestions to help a toddler hold still for a picture. So cute in his costume. Was he a teenage mutant ninja turtle?

Hoping you were able to make lots of progress in your basement!

Blessings,
Marie
