The Kitchen

I wanted to finally share the kitchen with you! I'm so happy with how it turned out. Not that I hated our old colors but the new, white color scheme seems to flow so much better with the rest of the house. We still have some trim and finishing details to do. I need to decide on curtains, etc......but if you've been following my blog you know how completely impatient I am, and I couldn't wait any longer to show you!

And here is the after:

I'm linking up for Met Monday. Go visit Susan's place for some great Before and Afters!

I'm also linking up to the Before and After party at Thrifty Decor Chick! Lots of other great projects to be seen over there.....

LOL!!! What timing...I was in my kitchen wondering if I should paint my kitchen white or off white. Your kitchen remodel has been "really" wanting to get away from the green.
Your kitchen is beautiful and serene.

So pretty! Our kitchen is almost entirely white, too, and I love it.

ps. I love your birdie salt and pepper shakers...I have the smae ones from Target!

Hi Michelle - love what you've done with your kitchen! Everything looks fantastic!

Can I chime in on the Santa ?'s. I remember asking my mom about that - I was about 9 or so. She sat me down and told me that a long time ago Santa used to come to all the houses all over the world until there got to be so many houses with so many kids that it got to be to many for him that he sent a very special note to ALL the moms and dads in the whole world and asked them if they would help him and deliver the toys for the children for him on Christmas Eve. I totally believed her - it made perfect sense to me at the time. Of course, the same story got told to me about the Easter bunny and the tooth fairy and she made me promise to never tell my younger sister until she asked my mom on her own. Worked for me and I thought (still think) it is the sweetest story.
Maybe you can somehow use a story like that? Whatever you do I hope you and your family have a great holiday!

Michelle, I really like how you used the dresser as an island. The white on white and chippiness is simply elegant to me. You should be very proud of what you have accomplished. I straddle so many different styles. This so-called shabby look is a favorite of mine, but I only have a snippet of this style in a guest bedroom. Your room is just amazing and I always enjoy visiting your site to see what new things you've implemented.
Merry, Merry!
