Oh Christmas Tree

On Sunday we went for our Christmas tree, something we look forward to all year long. It was freezing so we didn't get many pictures and the ones we got came out a bit like this.....

I sometimes wonder if we'll ever get a family photo where all five of us look normal. I may need to do like that commercial where the mom switches heads on their holiday photo. Do you know what I'm talking about? It's a computer commercial. Anywho.....

My son was "helping" Daddy cut down the tree. Don't worry, we moved him out of the way before the saw was really in there. A tree falling on one of the kids would have put a bit of a damper on the day.

We finished the day off with dinner and then hot chocolate. Mmmmmm....

So what is it in your house, real or fake?

You have to love the "real" family photos! At least the kids were troopers - mine stayed home!

Hope to see your beautiful home all decorated ~
Enjoy!

My trees are all fake. Many years ago my husband made the decision for us to go fake, he did not like standing in the cold for 1/2 waiting for me to choose the PERFECT tree. I am betting he wishes he hadn't done that because maybe there wouldn't be so many trees in our house.

We were going to go to the tree farm this year, and my husband had even scheduled the Saturday after Thanksgiving off(he works weekends), but the tree farm is an hour away from our house, and in the hills, and it was really snowy and icy that day. So we didn't brave the roads. But we did stay in town and get a REAL tree from the farm store here in town. Not my favorite way of getting a tree, I will always love going to the tree farm and cutting our own, but I love our real tree. :)
Looks like you guys had a lot of fun at the tree farm. And your tree looks like a beauty! Can't wait to see all of your lovely home all decked out for Christmas!

We have a fake one...6 of them actually. I am allergic to real Christmas trees. I love decorating them though. Can't wait to see yours all lit up!

Very cute picture! I could never get my kids to stop making faces! lol!

We get a live tree and I am counting the days. Actually, it is so cold in my house, I'm sure it would do fine! Hopefully this weekend!

Jane

Ours is real. We have a little artificial white tree in the living room, but the main tree in the den is real.

we got a real tree, went to the Christmas tree farm and cut our own for the first time. We also went on a day when it was 70 degrees, one of the benefits of living in Texas :) It is cold here today though!
