A Birthday

Today is my birthday....

Photo: Country Living

Sometimes I think I'd like to stop counting them but instead I'll consider each one like another patch on the uniform of my life. I've earned each year. During each one I've laughed, I've cried, I've loved and been challenged. It's the challenges that make us strong and the laughter that keeps us anxious for the next chapter.

And besides, how upset can I be about my age? Like I tell my husband....no matter how old I get, he'll always be older. I'm an awesome wife for reminding him of that, what can I say.

I also need to give a shoutout to my mom for bringing me into this world. It wasn't an easy pregnancy for her, not that she would ever complain about it. She is a special lady and my birthday is her day too. I'm so blessed to have her as my mom.

Totally random pic I love that has nothing to do with this post: Country Living
(Hey, it's my birthday...I can do whatever I want)

So how about that music, did you think you were in the wrong place? I promise it's just for the day! When I decided to do a birthday post, I looked up music from my birth year. Turns out, the music was great! I had so much fun looking up the songs and making a birthday playlist.

Can you guess what year I was born? And no cheating with Google! A certain movie came out the year I was born that should give it away easily!

Anyone who guesses will be entered to win a surprise gift from me. Make sure you leave your email address or are linked to a blog so I can contact you if you win. I'll be drawing a name tomorrow, June 4th at Noon, eastern time.

Thank you for coming by and sharing my day with me! Have a happy Thursday!

P.S. ~ Mom...if you're reading this, no guessing. That would be really unfair.

Happy birthday!
Look, I'm a fan of your blog, however, my shyness (not necessarily "shyness" but ... whatever! Something stops me) does not allow me to login with my google account, so you can't identify me. I rarely make any comment but I'm reading it.
You were born in 78! But I had to look on google.
And the last thing I wanted to say is I'm sorry for my poorly written English, English is not my first language: S My English is better spoken than written.
Now, why do not you take a little of your time and try to guess Where am I from?
I'll give you some tips about my country (Try not to cheat like me!)

1. It was discovered by Europeans in 1500. (I think that says it all! Or not).
2. Most Americans think that we speak Spanish here. (But we do not).

Found out already?

3. New York is considered by many to be invaded by immigrants from here.

Please, if you read the next and not find out, let me know, so I can kill me!

4. Home to the largest carnival in the world.
5. Headquarters of the Olympics 2016.

And the last thing I would like to say is that I'm sorry for writing such a big comment.
Enjoy your special day. (And try not to think that you're getting older [No offense]).

Hi Michelle! Happy Birthday!! I'm not really sure when Grease came out, but my first thought was 1977. I see a lot of 1978's on here, though, so I'm sure that's right! If you were in fact born in 1978, you are 1 year younger than my husband. And I say he is still a cute young thing. :)
Have you have a good one!! Beth.

You are far too young to complain about your age. I'm just saying. I think I was 7 when Grease came out so I'm guessing 1977. Have a wonderful Birthday. It wasn't until I had my first baby that I realized how my Birthday was really a celebration of my Mom's too!

Happy Birthday! Grease came out when I was in Grade 8, so probably spring of 1978. Our music teacher rented the whole old downtown movie theatre for all the grade 7's and 8's and we walked to watch it. My younger sister and I went back with friends on the weekend to see it again. One of my older sisters bought us the soundtrack record for Christmas. Thanks for the memories.

I hate to say that I was in junior high when Grease came out (so I will always be older than you, too)- I think it was 1978.
