Helloooooo bloggers!

Hi everyone! I hope you didn't forget about me! I didn't intend to make my break so long but after my hubby went back to work we were busy finalizing a new addition to our family...more about that at the end of this post.

First I'll share the bad news about my vacation....I managed to end the life of this harmless succulent. Didn't someone say these were foolproof? Apparently I have even less of a green thumb than I thought. If you have some advice, I'm all ears!

Besides that, we had a wonderful vacation week. Lots of smiles, laughs and hardly any sibling arguments!
Here's a recap of our family time!
We swam....

We ate ice cream.....

We went to Musikfest which is held in Bethlehem, PA every August. The City of Bethlehem is filled with eye candy for those of us who love historic homes. I have a bunch of pictures to sort through and will make a post of all the drool worthy house pics I took.

You have to love a place where you can eat an entire meal on a stick....

See what fun they are having?! They must have eaten something on a stick!

We listened to some amazing music, including the bells. We listen to him every year and each time I overheat just watching him play in that costume and mask. Keep in mind...even PA is hot in August.

I hope this works, my first time uploading a video to blogger. Sorry for the shaky camera but I wanted to share with you....

Ella's shoe broke while we were there and daddy had to carry her the rest of the day.
Note to self: Keep an extra pair of flip flops in the car at all times!

We hit the zoo......

Took silly pictures....

Touched a tortoise....

(followed by massive amounts of hand sanitizer)
Isn't he cute...

This little guy jumped right up on Hailey's lap and nibbled her shirt....

A sleeping giant....

One of the most fun things we did on vacation was look at campers! We've been thinking of getting one for some time now and decided to wait no longer!

This is our new addition....a 29 foot travel trailer!

Of course when we went to sign for it I forgot my camera. I took these pics from an RV site but ours is the same model. If these are your pics and you'd like credit, please let me know. I can't remember where I saved them from.

The colors aren't great but if you've looked at campers you know they are all pretty bad. I want a job designing these things, can't you just picture it with some toile?!

It'll be delivered to the campground next Friday. We are SO excited! I've been busy shopping and stashing things away so we can get camping right away! Another place to decorate, how fun!

What should we name her?

How have you all been while I've been away? I missed you and will try and catch up with everyone. Thank you for the kind emails while I was on my break, it's such a good feeling to be missed!

Love the camper. I think the kitchen is bigger than the one in my little house! Congratulations, and the kids are very cute--

Sounds like you had a fabulous vacation. I love your camper, and with the popout it gives you so much room. We had one for a few years and I just loved it. I know you will have wonderful trips with your family. Congratulations. Hugs, Marty

Oh my it looks like you all have had a FABULOUS time!!! I LOVE that song that he was playing on the bells. We go to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra each year and that is one of the WONDERFUL songs they play!

I think your family will have many, many fun camping trips in that camper. I can't wait to see if you re-decorate it! We have a 5th wheel 32 1/2 ft. camper. They are definitely MUCH better than tent camping....lol.

Thanks Michelle,
I will show this model to my husband-he wants to take one up to North Carolina from Florida (where we live)since we bought 65 acres in N.C. I hope you enjoy camping!
I have never slept in a tent, just a Motor home! RV's are great!
Glad you are back.
Your blog was the first one I read on decorating. I found it from Rate My Space!
Thanks, JolieAnne

I read that as "Muskfest" and couldn't begin to imagine what kind of vacation you had! Glad I took a second (okay, third) look and got it right. Looks like you had a blast and that camper should be such fun!

Oh what a sweet sweet family. It looks like you had a wonderful vacation. We had a similar camper when our boys were small (ancient history) and it saw many miles of use. Hey did someone water that little succulent? They have to have perfect drainage, and they prefer to be on the dry side in bright light..

Hi,
You're going to have such great fun camping. I did that with my family growing up and it was great memories. We named our trailer too!! We called it "The Worm Can" I know it is not too cute, but it described our family in a tight space. Have fun.

Hot. I've been hot here in my (still...) steel boot in the humid heat of Texas in summer. But I'm so glad you all enjoyed yourselves! Those smiles are living proof for posterity!

As far as the plant goes--I have some like it and the squirrels or birds tore it up--however it re-roots itself if you just leave the "leaf" like things in contact with the soil. I got 3 new plants this way (yours looks the same as mine)

I've been reading sewing, craft, and home decorating ideas on blogs and came across yours. Thought it was neat that you visited the Lehigh Valley area since that's where I live. Realized that when I saw the Musikefst sign:D We just got back from a trip to NJ. Enjoy the rest of your summer! Jen :D

What a great time you had...I know the children made the trip even more memorable. Great pics of your fun.
At to the trailer, I totally agree with you on the decor. I would so love to have a trailer, but am fearful, I would have to ONLY GO FORWARD! Absolutely no backing up. (Is that even possible?)
