Yard Sale Find

So this weekend we hit some yard sales and at one was this gorgeous truck....the kind of truck dreams are made of. Seriously. It was exactly what I want, in the perfect color, completely restored and a thing of beauty.

It matches my aqua desk so it was meant to be....

I imagined how awesome it would look parked in my driveway. I would name her and take her to yard sales, and take pictures of my adorable kiddos in the back of her....

So I asked how much she was and headed back to the car where my hubby was sitting with our sleeping son, grabbed some extra cash and drove away with my new baby.......

Ummmm....yeah, no.

This is how it really went....I pictured messaged my hubby, told him to check under the minivan seats for extra change, whined a little bit.....and he told me to dream on.

*sigh*

It really was perfect, the best yard sale find ever.

Shall we drool a bit more.....

I thought about asking the seller if he would take my picture with it but then he would have realized what a lunatic I am and chased me off his property.

Soooo...I sulked back to the car and left. Empty handed. Truckless.

P.S. ~ To my local readers, if you are interested in this amazing truck, it's near the corner of Hecktown and Butztown Roads and the asking price is $24,000. If you purchase it, you are required to bring it to my house so I can sit in it and take a picture. Seriously.

Hubby and I are on the lookout for an old truck but he is going to restore it so that's a little pricey for us but it's gorgeous!

ohhhh I hate when that happens, you find the perfect old truck and it is toooo expensive..dang it!! IT is always fun to dream though! :)

Oh my word Michelle - that truck is so cool. The color caught my attention too! My dad bought old cars and refurbished them when I was a little girl. I loved helping him. It's a sweet memory I have. I would love a vintage truck - to haul all my vintage-y things I find. heehee I would have SO taken a pic if I were you. Even at the risk of being run off. You should sneak back over there and get up on the hood!

Are those two street names real? If so, that's a hoot!

Blessings,
Marie

What is wrong with that husband??? Only $24K and it matches...must be fate!!! It is very cool and looks like the owner put a lot of care into restoring it!

first off- how do you find yard sales like these?! All the ones I ever been to offer things like broken mixers and chipped vases! Such a cool color truck- I feel your pain :( Love your reader that asked if the street names were for real. I know right where that intersection is, yet never thought about how wild the street names were!

Ha! My husband would have probably gone for it - even though it is TOTALLY out of our price range. He's kind of a car nut. I do love the color and vintage.

Have a wonderful weekend!

That is so funny. There was an Old Red Ford truck parked down the street from us with a For Sale sign a few years back. I came home to Hubs and said I would give up hair dye, eyebrow waxes, you name it to own the truck. He rolled eyes and asked why do you want an old truck? Uh, so I can look cool driving to Home Depot in it. LOL.

Too bad, that is one perfect truck! The color and the age are just right. I have been hunting for one too, but when I find a dreamy one it always come down to my budget, which is pretty much nonexistent. For now, a photo will have to suffice.

I could just see you in this truck...really. I would be in the back holding down all of our great finds...Hurry..go back and get this truck. Then I could move next door and we could so be partners in crime..yardsales that is! My Dad has a very old truck but it's an ugly green. Maybe I could talk him into painting it your aqua. Take care and have a great week ahead! xoxox Susie
